about Dr. Sierra (she/her)

I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience helping individuals who, despite outward success, feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, and disconnection. If that sounds like you, you're not alone—and you're in the right place.

Over the past 10+ years, I’ve supported hundreds of clients in navigating the complex emotional terrain that often accompanies high performance and high expectations. Whether you’re a professional, a performer, or someone others rely on, you may find yourself feeling like you're never quite enough. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck and help you discover sustainable ways to feel more grounded, confident, and whole.

In addition to my clinical training, I’m a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. I completed an intensive two-year training developed and taught by renowned clinical psychologists and meditation teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. For clients who are interested, I thoughtfully integrate both formal meditation and informal mindfulness practices into our work—supporting you in becoming more present, self-aware, and emotionally balanced in everyday life.

My Style

Clients often describe me as warm, engaging, compassionate, caring, insightful, knowledgeable, flexible, and direct. I bring a grounded and collaborative presence into therapy, blending empathy with practical tools and honest conversation. I aim to create a space where you can show up as your full self—no masks, no performance, no pressure.

How I Got Here

Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in the Federal Government as an investigator and polygraph examiner. That experience gave me a deep understanding of human behavior—but more importantly, it showed me how powerful self-awareness and emotional insight can be. I wanted to do more than observe patterns; I wanted to help people transform them. That calling led me to earn my Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in 2012 and dedicate my career to clinical work that changes lives from the inside out.

When I'm Not Working

Outside the therapy room, I’m a parent and a person just like you—doing my best to live with intention and joy. I love running, meditating, cheering at football games, watching live music, spending time with my kids, and catching up with friends. These are the things that help keep me grounded, connected, and human.
